Forward Thinking

An interesting story from the other day about how some pet owners have made plans for the care of their animal in case of the owners death.

Owners encouraged to care for pets' future in estate planning

"A Los Altos group, 2nd Chance 4 Pets, says that an estimated 2 or 3 percent of the 8 million to 12 million companion animals that go into animal shelters each year are there because their owners have died or can no longer care for them"

(Ellen Maurer has mapped out a plan of care for her cat, Shasta)
