Such Great Heights Dance

Why are there so many videos online of people lip-synching and dancing to songs in their homes. Is this the next Sudoku and everyone's going to be going apeshit over it hosting lip-synch video shoot parties?

This one is pretty golden with some really inspired dancing, great props (crutches) and a finale with the guy getting beamed out of the room ala Star Trek style.
